"Square Enix confirms they will be releasing DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 including costumes, monsters, and weapons.
Also announced, was that some DLC will be exclusively released as pre-order bonuses. However, according to producer Yoshinori Kitase, there will be no DLC for Final Fantasy XIII, which dropped last year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. "Regarding the DLC content, we feel that the final product is 100 per cent enjoyable... it's the complete package. So we're not planning any DLC at this time," Kitase said.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is due to roll out March 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360."

"Square-Enix has revealed the contents of the first DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2. No info on release date or pricing have been given, but if you decide to pick it up, this is what you'll get:
* An additional Boss Monster called Omega which you can recruit for your party after you defeat it * A new costume for Noel * A new costume for Serah
Exciting stuff. Now this is of course only the first in a long line of promised DLC, so there's still a good chance Square-Enix might come up with something decent. Like, adding some actual gameplay to the game, instead of shoehorning in Quick Time Events. Or maybe taking out Hope? Just thinking out loud."

"Square-Enix has just announced via press release that the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 will receive exclusive DLC in time with the game's release in the US. But don't fret, PS3 owners: You neither have to buy an Xbox nor burn down Microsoft Headquarters for pulling another exclusivity deal, because the DLC in question consists of just one item.
The exclusive item is a bow weapon for Serah called âAzrael,â named after an angel who represents spirits and death, as well as Gargamel's cat. When equipped, the player's Chain Bonus will upgrade and according to legend, it possesses "the power to change the ownerâs destiny," although it is not clear whether this plays into the game.
You can get the item from Chocolina the merchant in Episode 2 for 80 MSPoints on Jan 31st, and only Serah will be able to use it.
While it's not much, will this influence your decision on which version to buy?"

"Square Enix has announced the final salvo of DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available tomorrow. The content will include two new episodes, plus white and black mage outfits and âA Wondrous Wardrobeâ (which includes 16 different costumes for Mog, the moogle).
The first episode, Snow's Story: Perpetual Battlefield, will see Snow engaged in battles at the Coliseum after being separated from his fiancée, Serah. The episode also features a battle against the âArbiter of Timeâ and will ultimately unlock Snow as a party member.
The second, Lightning's Story: Requiem of the Goddess, will reveal the battle between Lightning and Caius not shown in the main game. Players will also be able to unlock the Final Fantasy XIII-2 version of Lightning as a party member.
The content, which will be available for both Xbox 360 and PS3, will range in price from $2.99 to $4.99, or 240-400 Microsoft Points."
